Today I read a children’s book entitled Ashanti to Zulu: African Traditions. It’s an alphabet book that uses various African cultures and peoples to teach the alphabet as well as educate children on African peoples and traditions. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful and I really enjoyed the book because it isn’t the classic “A is for apple, B is for bat, C is for cat” type of book. I’ll definitely be using it one day, in both my classroom and my home.
P.S. The second picture is my favorite!!4 notes · #366 baybeh #child literature #illustration #education #culture
